Service Call

 

  • On-site service calls begin at a flat fee of $250 + parts. This fee covers up to 1 hour of traveling time and 1 hour of on-site labor. Additional traveling time and labor will be billed at the standard rate.

  • Commercial equipment labor is rated @ $175 per hour.

  • Traveling time is rated @ $75 per hour (In the event of parking in a lot, customer is responsible for parking fees. A receipt for parking will be attached with the invoice.)

  • Emergency service or service performed outside of working hours will increase labor, installation and traveling time fees by 1.5x unless the service call or installation was scheduled by a technician for that time.

Installation

  • Traditional espresso machine (single internal boiler w/ heat exchange groups): $425.00

  • Basic specialty espresso machine (Multiple boilers and 1 pump connection): $475.00

  • Advanced specialty espresso machine (Multiple boilers with multiple pump connections): $525.00

  • Basic batch brewer and/or water tower: $300.00

  • For in/under counter machines and specialty coffee brewers (Modbar, Marco, Poursteady etc.) please inquire for install pricing.

  • Installation of multiple pieces of equipment that require plumbing can be combined for a reduced bundled rate.

  • Price does not include traveling time. (See policy for installation site preparation guideline).

 

Policy

 

Working hours

  • Our working hours are Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 5:30pm. We are closed Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.

 

Emergency service

  • Emergency service is available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week as long a technician is available. In the event a technician is not available, that service will be scheduled as soon as we can send a technician out. EMERGENCY SERVICE CALLS ARE SOLEY FOR EQUIPMENT THAT IS 100% NON OPERATIONAL. IF THE EQUIPMENT IS PARTIALLY OPERATIONAL OR NOT OPERATIONAL DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES OUTSIDE OF THE EQUIPMENT (ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING, USER ERROR, ETC.) A $300.00 EMERGENCY SERVICE SURCHARGE WILL BE APPLIED TO THE INVOICE.

 

Traveling time

  • This covers the cost of fuel, tolls, running costs and labor time during travel. It is calculated from the time a technician leaves our location or from a previous service call with over 30 minutes of travel and/or tolls are incurred to travel to the location. Traveling time can also be billed for return trips from a location if a service call is solely made for that customer.

 

Installation site preparation

  • All plumbing for equipment must be fabricated, tested and operational up to local code and our requirements for installation by a licensed plumber. If any of those items are missing or if site is incomplete, charges will be billed for additional work performed. Any additional plumbing work performed by Legacy Coffee Tech Inc. is not licensed.
    WE ARE NOT LICENSED PLUMBERS. 

  • All electrical for equipment must be fabricated, tested and operational up to local code and our requirements for installation by a licensed electrician. If any of those items are missing or if site is incomplete, charges will be billed for additional work performed. Any additional electrical work performed by Legacy Coffee Tech Inc. is not licensed.
    WE ARE NOT LICENSED ELECTRICIANS. 

 

Warranty

  • All work performed is covered by a 90 calendar day part and labor warranty. Warranty will not be honored if issue was caused by: improper water filtration, outside circumstances causing equipment malfunction (electrical, plumbing, user error, etc)., or customer negligence. Warranty work must be approved by a technician before being performed.

  • Warranty on new parts or equipment is covered by the manufacturer as per their warranty terms and conditions. We will work directly with the manufacturer to solve any warranty issues. We DO NOT cover the cost of return shipping or any re-stocking fees that may apply.

  • Warranty does not apply to consumable parts.

  • Used or refurbished parts are covered by a 90 calendar day warranty unless noted by a technician. Not all used or refurbished parts are covered under warranty.

  • We do not warranty work performed by outside contractors such as powder coating, painting, metal plating/polishing, custom electronic devices, etc.

 

Sales Tax

  • NY state sales tax (8.875%) will be charged and collected for all service, parts and equipment.

  • Wholesale tax exempt accounts are available, please contact us for more information.

 

Payment and fees

  • We accept cash, checks and major credit cards. All checks are to be made payable to LEGACY COFFEE TECH.
    Any returned checks will incur a $40 bank charge on the following invoice.

  • Credit card payments will incur a 3.5% processing fee.

  • All invoices must be paid on receipt. Terms are only available for wholesale accounts.

  • Any equipment left after 30 calendar days from completion/estimate date will incur a storage fee of $10 per calendar day. After 60 calendar days from completion/estimate date, equipment will be moved into storage and become property of Legacy Coffee Tech Inc. and will be subject to auction or sale to cover storage fees.

 

Refunds

  • There are no refunds on any parts, equipment or services performed. If there is a manufacturer defect or issue with service performed, please see warranty guidelines.
