Founded in 2017 by second generation and 15+ year coffee technician veteran,
Will La Hara, Legacy Coffee Tech has quickly become the prominent source of the highest quality specialty coffee equipment and technical service in New York City.


We offer coffee equipment:

SERVICE MENU

Field Service Call

  • Service calls begin at $295.00 +tax

    • This is our minimum charge to come to your location to diagnose, maintain or repair your equipment.​ This fee applies to both brewers and grinders.

    • Included in the fee is up to 1 hour of labor and travel within:

      • Staten Island​

      • Western Brooklyn (Including Williamsburg & Greenpoint)

      • Midtown Manhattan and below

      • North and Central New Jersey (east of the Garden State Parkway)

        • Northern area limit: Clifton, NJ​

        • Southern area limit: Asbury Park, NJ

    • An additional travel fee of $75.00​ applies to:

      • Above Midtown and below Harlem Manhattan​

      • Western Queens (Limited to West of Corona)

      • Eastern Brooklyn (Limited to the Brownsville / Carnarsie area)

      • North and Central New Jersey (west of the Garden State Parkway, limited to East of Route 287/206/295)

        • Northern area limit: Morristown, NJ​

        • Southern area limit: Princeton, NJ

    • For all other areas located outside of the zones above, please contact us for a travel quote.​ For extended travel locations, a return travel fee may apply

    • Office buildings, airports, locations that require security check-in will incur an additional non labor fee billed as 'idle time' rated at $75.00/hr and is billed in half hour increments

  • Additional labor is billed at an hourly rate of $195.00/hr +tax

    • Additional labor is billed in half hour increments.

Pricing above does not include parts or supplies to complete the service call.

Equipment Installation

  • Traditional espresso machine and batch brewer installations begin at $550.00 +tax

    • Additional $75.00 for ​basic specialty espresso machine (Multiple boilers and 1 pump connection)
    • Additional $150.00 for advanced specialty espresso machine (Multiple boilers with multiple pump connections)
    • Contact us for modular system installation quotes (Modbar, Marco, etc.)
      • Included in installation fee:

        • Water lines/fittings, electrical cords/plugs to connect equipment to completed install provisions

        • Basic water filtration installation (limited to pre-filter assemblies, filter heads/manifolds located within the vicinity of the equipment

        • Basic grinder setup/calibration

        • Equipment calibration and training of basic function/cleaning. *Please note this is not barista coffee training*

        • Travel within:

          • Staten Island​

          • Western Brooklyn (Including Williamsburg & Greenpoint)

Installation site preparation

  • All installation prevision guidelines will be e-mailed to client as per manufacturer specification

  • All plumbing, electrical and contract work for equipment must be fabricated, tested and operational up to local code and manufacturer requirements for installation by a licensed professional. If any of those items are missing or if site is incomplete, charges will be billed for additional travel and/or work performed. Any additional plumbing, electrical, contractor work performed by Legacy Coffee Tech Inc. is not licensed nor guaranteed.
    WE ARE NOT LICENSED PLUMBERS, ELECTRICIANS, OR CONTRACTORS. 

  • Unprepared install sites will incur a non labor fee billed as 'idle time' rated at $75.00/hr and is billed in half hour increments in addition to any labor charges to complete installation site provisions.

  • E-mailed (or texted) photos of completed installation site provisions are required before confirming an installation date/time

  • An in person site survey (visual inspection/consulting of provisions and basic water quality test) is available for $100.00+ tax. (Additional travel fees may apply for locations outside of zones listed above)

Shop Service

  • In shop equipment estimates begin at $100.00+ tax

    • This is our minimum charge to look over equipment brought to our shop.

    • Additional labor time is billed for equipment requiring advanced diagnosis.

    • This fee is non-refundable. If estimate is approved, this fee is waived.

  • In shop labor rates begin at $175.00/hr+ tax

    • This is our minimum charge to repair equipment.

    • Additional labor is billed in half hour increments.

Policy

Working hours

  • Our working hours are Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 5:30pm. We are closed Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.

 

Emergency service

  • Emergency service is available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week as long a technician is available. In the event a technician is not available, that service will be scheduled as soon as we can send a technician out. EMERGENCY SERVICE CALLS ARE SOLEY FOR EQUIPMENT THAT IS 100% NON OPERATIONAL. IF THE EQUIPMENT IS PARTIALLY OPERATIONAL OR NOT OPERATIONAL DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES OUTSIDE OF THE EQUIPMENT (ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING, USER ERROR, ETC.) A $300.00 EMERGENCY SERVICE SURCHARGE WILL BE APPLIED TO THE INVOICE.

  • Emergency service or service performed outside of working hours will increase labor, installation and traveling time fees by 1.5x unless the service call or installation was scheduled by a technician for that time.

 

Traveling / idle time

  • This covers the cost of fuel, tolls, running costs and non labor time during travel, service calls, and installations. Traveling time can also be billed for return trips from a location if a service call is solely made for that customer. 

 

Warranty

  • All work performed is covered by a 7 calendar day labor warranty. This does not include travel fees.

  • Warranty will not be honored if issue was caused by: improper water filtration, outside circumstances causing equipment malfunction (electrical, plumbing, user error, etc)., or customer negligence. Warranty work must be approved by a technician before being performed.

  • Warranty on new parts or equipment is covered by the manufacturer as per their warranty terms and conditions. We will work directly with the manufacturer to solve any warranty issues. We DO NOT cover the cost of travel, return shipping or any re-stocking fees that may apply.

  • Warranty does not apply to consumable parts.

  • We do not warranty work performed by outside contractors such as powder coating, painting, metal plating/polishing, custom electronic devices, etc.

 

Sales tax

  • Sales tax will be charged and collected for all service, parts and equipment.

 

Payment and fees

  • We accept cash, checks and major credit cards. All checks are to be made payable to LEGACY COFFEE TECH.

  • Credit card payments will incur a 3.75% processing fee.

  • All invoices must be paid on completion of service (C.O.D.).

  • Any equipment left after 30 calendar days from completion/estimate date will incur a storage fee of $10 per calendar day. After 60 calendar days from completion/estimate date, equipment will be moved into storage and become property of Legacy Coffee Tech Inc. and will be subject to auction or sale to cover storage fees.

Refunds

  • There are no refunds on any parts, equipment or services performed. If there is a manufacturer defect or issue with service performed, please see warranty guidelines.
